Remarkable work

Dr.Ambika Kameshwar..a remarkable woman who does remarkable work. And she happens to be my dance teacher. Akka, as we all call her, runs a school for special children (children with not 'dis' but different abilities). She uses dance as a therapeutical (called Creative Movement Therapy) tool to enhance the behavioral and cognitive skills of the children. Being a part of her dance school has given some of us the opputunity to be a part of her wonderful work. I will maybe write about her and her work in a later blog. For now, just wanted all you guys to read an article about her in Hindu. Some introduction for starters.

Very noble indeed. You could do something to help raise funds for the place if need be.

Hi Sandhya their entire family's commitment towards Baghavan Ramana and nataya alongwith the concern for the less privilaged ones is remarkable. TRC

Hey Sandhya,
Hi, I'm Sandeep and happened to stumble upon ur blog thru Orkut...a rather circuitous route I must concede! But, I am fascinated by ur December 29, 2005 blog on Natyashstra and Abhinayadarpana. Great article and amazing research...Good job! I was wondering where or how you can access classic texts on Bharatnatyam and their links to the vedas.

I do notice that u garner a fair bit of attention and might consider my queries to be run-of-the-mill and ulterior, but I take the risk and have nothing but my sincerity to offer!

Hope to hearing back from you regarding this! You can find my email from my profile and do feel free to drop by my blog sometime:

thanks,
Sandeep
